High-Impact Essentials for Cardio Lovers

I’ve fallen in love with running this year, and I’ve tried every outfit combination to find the perfect pieces for a high-impact workout. Having the right pieces makes all the difference in performance and comfort, and these are the pieces that keep me moving with ease.  

Wicked Sports Bra

As a member of the big titty committee (BTC), I need a very supportive sports bra when I’m going for my runs. 

I love that the Wicked Sports Bra has a higher neckline and gives a bit of side coverage, so I feel locked and loaded in this bra. The thing I like the most, though, is the Velcro adjustable band that makes this sports bra super customizable because you can make sure it fits properly on your ribcage, which I think is huge because not everyone with the same cup size will have the same ribcage size. 

The Wicked Sports Bra is made of a beautiful, high-impact performance fabric, which is perfect for even the sweatiest cardio session. I also like the simplicity of the elevated racerback design because it’s not too strappy and gives really nice support. Plus, it has a hidden pocket in the racerback! What!?

Overall, I love this sports bra because of the support and coverage, and the adjustability makes it perfect for the BTC and the itty bitty titty committee. 

Breakthrough Belt Bag

This bag barely left my body all summer! The Breakthrough Belt Bag carried me through every single run during my running girl era and quickly became my everyday go-to. 

What I love the most about this belt bag is how size-inclusive it is! It has an extender to ensure it fits all body types, which is such an amazing touch. 

This belt bag is perfect for everything from running errands to hitting the running trails!

Lit Laser Cut Legging

This is one of my favorite pieces for true high-impact cardio. The Lit Laser Cut Leggings provide a secure, locked-in feel that stays in place, especially when you’re jumping or running. The Elysium fabric is an amazing performance fabric, and it’s ideal for any intense or high-impact activity.

I also love the rise of these leggings because the last thing I want to worry about when I’m bending over or jumping is being self-conscious about my stomach, so these are perfect for keeping me locked in and confident. 

One of the big things I love about all BuffBunny Collection leggings is that there is no front seam, so we don’t have to worry about cameltoe! 

These leggings, specifically, don’t have any seams, but they have the perfect contouring to highlight your natural curves. Plus, the laser-cut holes add a bit of sexiness to a staple piece everyone should have in their closet. 

Strength Training Staples

 

When it comes to strength training, I look for pieces that provide both support and coverage while still allowing me to move freely through every lift. Whether I’m doing squats, deadlifts, or upper body strength, these are my go-to pieces that offer functionality and a flattering fit.

Bloom Sports Bra

The Bloom Sports Bra, a BTC favorite, is made from my all-time favorite material, the BuffBunny Collection signature NuBre Fabric. 

This sports bra provides the perfect coverage and support for a strength training session. It has a bit of a higher neckline, but the sweetheart neckline means there’s just a bit of clevagé. Enough that it’s flattering, but not so much that I’m worried about spilling out of my bra when I’m at the gym. 

I love, love, love the thick band at the bottom of this bra and how the band tucks in your lats a little bit. The design of the Bloom Sports Bra is simple, but the ruching on the front elevates it, so you might not want to wear anything over top, but the back is designed perfectly so that it would still look good if you wanted to wear a tank top with it. 

Contour Pocket Legging

The Contour Pocket Legging is another strength training essential, and it’s perfect if you want both functionality and a flattering silhouette. These are definitely a favorite of mine due to, quite literally, the contours that they have. 

I love these leggings so much because of all the little details. I’m a big fan of how they naturally contour the female body, and the rise is really nice, too. These leggings make you look really snatched, and the side pockets add a bit of extra compression. 

I also love how the silicone branding makes the piece feel elevated with the matching tone-on-tone logo.

And, of course, these are made in the NuBre fabric, which gives a super soft, second-skin kind of feel, which I love because they are so comfortable to move in no matter what exercise I’m doing. These leggings are the perfect combination of style and practicality, making them a great gift for anyone into strength training.

Versatility for Mobility

We’re serious about our fitness, so we don’t skip mobility days, right?

Mobility work requires clothing that moves with you while providing the right amount of support and coverage. These are the pieces I love when I’m stretching, foam rolling, or focusing on flexibility.

Crystal Crop V2

The Crystal Crop V2 is all around one of my favorite tank tops. I’m not usually a fan of shelf bras, but this one is actually very comfortable. 

I also love the simplicity of this top because it makes it versatile and easy to style. It’s another piece that has beautiful and flattering contouring. I also love the back coverage because it is flattering on many different bodies. Plus, it’s not too deep of a plunge to make me feel self-conscious when I’m foam rolling or stretching on the ground. 

The length is also perfect. For someone with a shorter torso, like me, it’s more of a three-quarter crop, which is super flattering, but it could be a full crop for someone with a longer torso. It’s another piece made of my favorite NuBre fabric, which is great because you don’t feel like it’s going anywhere as you're moving around or rolling around. 

Plus, it’s a super flexible and versatile piece, so you could go out and run errands or hit the Stairmaster in this top once you’re done with your mobility work.

Poshknit Scrunch Short

The Poshknit Scrunch Short is another mobility must-have. Made from the ultra-soft Poshknit fabric, these shorts are incredibly comfortable and breathable, making them ideal for mobility days. I love how luxurious this fabric feels!

I love the Poshknit fabric because it’s very stretchy, breathable, and almost like velvet. It’s very comfortable and has great performance to it, which is exactly what I want on a mobility day!

I also love the silicone branding on these shorts because it elevates the feel further, making mobility days feel like a luxury experience. 

The seams and waistband on these shorts are also super flattering, which I find important because I sometimes get into weird positions while doing mobility work. I always feel locked in and confident that I’m not going anywhere. 

Lounge in Style

When it comes to lounging, I’m all about pieces that deliver comfort without sacrificing style. These are the perfect picks for staying cozy, cute, and comfortable. 

Cloud Collection

So, this isn’t a single piece, but I am obsessed with the entire Cloud collection. The Cloud material is truly like a cloud. It’s so plushy, and comfy, and stretchy. Plus, what’s great about these pieces is that they’re versatile enough to wear in nicer weather without feeling too hot or restricted.

These pieces are super cozy, but they’re also cute enough that you can wear them out and about while staying warm. 

Plus, I feel like there are unisex pieces. You could totally size appropriately and gift these to your significant other, or do a matching set and get all the cute photos together. 

Plunge Butter Bra

The Plunge Butter Bra is the ultimate no-bra bra! It actually took me by surprise how much I loved it. 

It has super light support, making it perfect for under a sweater, hanging out at home, or traveling. It’s made out of the Butter material, so it literally feels like you’re not wearing anything, which is perfect for lounge days. 

You already know I’m all about the adjustability, and that’s something I really love about this piece. The straps and band are both adjustable, so it’s super easy to get the perfect fit with this no-bra bra. It’s the perfect choice for someone who wants to stay comfy without sacrificing style.
